SUMMARY:Knowledge Valorisation in Action: from Results to Policy
DESCRIPTION:The European Commission’s Research Executive Agency (REA) –  in cooperation with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation – has announced the upcoming policy event “Knowledge Valorisation: From Action and Results to Policy”\, scheduled to take place on 8 October 2026\, from 9:00 to 16:00. This will be a hybrid event\, allowing participants to attend either online or in person in Brussels. \nThis event represents a key milestone in the EU’s strategy to turn scientific research and excellent results into sustainable solutions that benefit society and the economy. It will bring together researchers\, innovators\, policymakers\, and tech transfer experts to discuss how to optimize the impact of EU-funded projects under Horizon Europe. \nThe conference will showcase successful examples of knowledge valorisation and address the strategic implementation of the EU Guiding Principles for Knowledge Valorisation. The discussions will focus on key strategies to bridge the gap between academia\, industry\, and public policy\, alongside best practices for intellectual property management and technology transfer. Additionally\, participants will explore the role of standardisation and codes of practice in accelerating the market uptake of research results. \nParticipating in this event offers a valuable opportunity for researchers to understand the future directions of European research policy and to learn how to effectively maximize the exploitation and dissemination of their project results. \nFor full details\, agenda updates\, and registration information\, visit the official event page.

SUMMARY:Workshop: Regional Hydrogen Valleys
DESCRIPTION:Organized by the National Energy Technology Cluster (CTNE) and ART-ER\, under the moderation of the National Energy Technology District (Di.T.N.E.)\, the workshop “Regional Hydrogen Valleys” focuses on the role of regional hydrogen hubs in driving sustainable territorial development and advancing Italy’s energy transition. The event will take place on Thursday\, 8 October 2026\, from 09:30 to 13:30 at Veronafiere (Hall 4) in Verona\, within the framework of mcTER EXPO 2026. \nNow at its fourth semiannual edition\, the national hydrogen landscape has reached a pivotal turning point. Across various Italian regions\, several Hydrogen Valleys are now being inaugurated\, others are nearing completion\, and production plants are entering operational phases to support local green hydrogen ecosystems and end-use applications. \nThe workshop transitions the conversation from design and construction phases to operational deployment\, green hydrogen production\, and market integration. Through structured talks\, industry leaders and regional facilitators will present progress updates\, early field experiences\, ongoing operational challenges\, and cross-regional collaboration opportunities. \nThe initiative provides a strategic platform to: \n\nExamine Operational Case Studies: Share lessons learned\, best practices\, and field insights from newly operational Hydrogen Valleys across Italy.\nAddress Pioneer Challenges: Discuss infrastructural\, technical\, and market hurdles inherent to early-stage hydrogen deployment.\nBridge Supply and Demand: Align hydrogen production\, distribution infrastructure\, and end-user needs to enhance national scalability and project replicability.\nEngage Institutional Stakeholders: Connect national and regional policy frameworks to strengthen Italy’s green hydrogen economy.
