SUMMARY:TRAINING UNISI-APRE: HORIZON EUROPE LEGAL AND FINANCIAL ASPECTS
DESCRIPTION:This training course aims to present the central aspects (legal and content) of Horizon Europe\, to improve the financial and legal management capacity of participants\, through a detailed analysis of the templates\, participation rules and main articles of the Annotated Model Grant Agreement. The training will follow a theoretical-practical methodology through examples and declination of the EC guidelines in concrete cases. The active and direct interaction of\nparticipants both through SLIDO and through a constant comparison approach between the teacher and In this way\, participants promptly address any doubts or uncertainties that arise during the jobs. In the Work Programs 2023/2024 of Horizon Europe\, the European Commission has used the flat rate scheme is extensively. SUMMARY:An exhibition to understand war and think peace
DESCRIPTION:As part of the permanent seminar “Understanding War\, Thinking Peace. Against the Paralysis of Thought” included in the activities of the Department of Excellence “Historical Sciences and Cultural Heritage” and in collaboration with the student association Aula 1240\, two planned initiatives will address the topic “War and the destruction of cultural heritage”. \nThe first will be held on Thursday\, 1 February in the Santa Chiara Lab Auditorium and will entail the screening of the docufilm “The destruction of memory” by Tim Slade. \nThe second\, scheduled for Thursday\, 8 February\, will be held in the Chiostro di San Galgano and consists in the inauguration of a photographic show entitled “Mosul”\, with photos by architect Giovanni Fontana Antonelli. Participants will include lecturers and students from the Department\, as well as external experts: Tim Slade (filmmaker and producer)\, Monika Milosavljević from the University of Belgrade\, Çiğdem Özkan Aygün from the University of Istanbul\, Giovanni Fontana Antonelli and Claudia Cancellotti from the association ARCHI.Media Trust ONLUS\, Andrea Balbo\, from the University of Geneva\, Paolo Brusasco from the University of Genoa. \nThe permanent seminar series intends to contribute to the university community’s task of providing methods and critical tools for understand the violent return of war in our daily lives\, with the correlated pollution of information sources and the tendency to simplify ethical and political judgement by taking uncritical stances\, disregarding the constitutional repudiation of war and stigmatising pacifist thought.

DESCRIPTION:The Netval Winter School reaches its fourth edition\, with the theme “TT in the PNRR: current situation and critical issues”.  \nThe huge investments of the PNRR in support of research and development and innovation stimulate the need for reflection on which tools and strategies to adopt so that the results obtained thanks to these resources can be generators of impact\, strengthening skills and encouraging the transition towards a knowledge-based economy. The organization of partnerships for the development of actions to valorise knowledge\, the cascade calls\, the KPIs to be monitored\, are just some of the points of reflection on which it is appropriate\, in this phase of progress\, to focus common attention also on in order to strengthen and extend the actions that Technology Transfer offices can promote\, also in interaction with these new groupings of actors. \nNetval Winter School program

SUMMARY:A docufilm to understand war and think peace
DESCRIPTION:As part of the permanent seminar “Understanding War\, Thinking Peace. Against the Paralysis of Thought” included in the activities of the Department of Excellence “Historical Sciences and Cultural Heritage” and in collaboration with the student association Aula 1240\, two planned initiatives will address the topic “War and the destruction of cultural heritage”. \nThe first will be held on Thursday\, 1 February in the Santa Chiara Lab Auditorium and will entail the screening of the docufilm “The destruction of memory” by Tim Slade. \nThe second\, scheduled for Thursday\, 8 February\, will be held in the Chiostro di San Galgano and consists in the inauguration of a photographic show entitled “Mosul”\, with photos by architect Giovanni Fontana Antonelli. Participants will include lecturers and students from the Department\, as well as external experts: Tim Slade (filmmaker and producer)\, Monika Milosavljević from the University of Belgrade\, Çiğdem Özkan Aygün from the University of Istanbul\, Giovanni Fontana Antonelli and Claudia Cancellotti from the association ARCHI.Media Trust ONLUS\, Andrea Balbo\, from the University of Geneva\, Paolo Brusasco from the University of Genoa. \nThe permanent seminar series intends to contribute to the university community’s task of providing methods and critical tools for understand the violent return of war in our daily lives\, with the correlated pollution of information sources and the tendency to simplify ethical and political judgement by taking uncritical stances\, disregarding the constitutional repudiation of war and stigmatising pacifist thought.

DESCRIPTION:The new edition of the microcourse on youth entrepreneurship organized by the Liaison Office\, “Keep calm and start up”\, will be held on November 20 and 28 and December 4\, with the aim of introducing students of the University of Siena to basic notions of business\, and provide the necessary tools for compiling the fundamental document of every new entrepreneurial adventure\, the business plan.  \nRegistration deadline is November 16\, 2023. The registration application must be submitted via email to: corsi_liaison@unisi.it (you must indicate your name and surname\, institutional email\, status\, enrollment number and course of study). The course\, which is free\, does not provide either training credits or attendance certificates. DESCRIPTION:Integrated lean scientific startup method \n\n\n\n\n\nThe webinar will take place on Thursday\, November 9th\, 12:00 CET. The link will be shared with registered participants two days before the webinar. \nYou will learn about build-measure-learn loop\, value and growth hypotheses\, Minimum Viable Products and pivoting for scientific startups\, with examples from different industries. You will find out about the birds’ eye view to a lean science\, from the investor perspective. \nA part of the webinar will be a simulation of the pitch. If you are interested to do it\, think of one or more outcomes of your PhD work (past or ongoing) as MVP and describe it shortly in the registration form. One or two proposers will be invited to pitch it to the investor in 7 minutes and find out about the idea’s strengths and weaknesses\, blind spots and opportunities to improve.
