SUMMARY:APRE COURSES 2026: "The Lump Sum Scheme in Horizon Europe" in-person training course
DESCRIPTION:APRE is organizing the training course “The Lump Sum Scheme in Horizon Europe” (“Lo schema Lump Sum in Horizon Europe”)\, taking place on 24 November 2026\, from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 16:00 in Room M\, Presidio in Via Mattioli\, 10 – Siena. \nThe event is organized in collaboration with the University of Siena\, Scuola Normale Superiore\, University of Pisa\, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna\, and the University of Florence. \nIn recent years\, the European Commission has systematically expanded the use of the Lump Sum scheme across Horizon Europe\, making it a central financing model that will cover around 50% of overall calls in the 2026-2027 Work Programmes. While this funding model significantly simplifies financial management by removing real-cost reporting in favor of pre-agreed fixed amounts\, it also reshapes the entire project lifecycle\, making work plan design\, deliverable setting\, and budget distribution far more strategic during proposal writing. \nThis course provides participants with an operational and up-to-date overview of the Lump Sum model\, systematically addressing all project phases from proposal drafting and new budget template usage to consortium management\, monitoring\, and ex-post controls. Through practical case studies and interactive workshop sessions focused on the Consortium Agreement\, attendees will gain hands-on expertise to navigate Lump Sum projects effectively and confidently.

SUMMARY:Green Transition & Climate Resilience Brokerage Event
DESCRIPTION:Registrations are officially open for the international online brokerage event “Green Transition & Climate Resilience”\, hosted on the Net4Society Community Platform (b2match) on 1 December 2026 starting at 09:30. \nOrganized by Net4Society\, the international network of Horizon Europe Cluster 2 National Contact Points (NCPs)\, the event is designed to foster interdisciplinary cooperation between Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) and STEM researchers ahead of the Horizon Europe 2027 calls. \nTo address systemic climate challenges\, technological innovations must be coupled with insights into human behavior\, governance\, economic incentives\, and cultural practices. The brokerage event focuses on 13 selected topics identified across Horizon Europe Pillar II—including Cluster 1 (Health)\, Cluster 2 (Culture\, Creativity and Inclusive Society)\, Cluster 5 (Climate\, Energy and Mobility)\, Cluster 6 (Food\, Bioeconomy\, Natural Resources and Environment)\, the New European Bauhaus\, and EU Missions—where SSH integration is explicitly required. \nParticipants will have the opportunity to schedule 1:1 online bilateral meetings to form balanced SSH–STEM consortia and gain early guidance on 2027 funding avenues across energy\, mobility\, health\, rural communities\, and climate adaptation. Attendees can also present proposal ideas\, research methodologies\, or expertise during dedicated flash presentation pitching sessions using the official template\, while receiving direct feedback on proposal concepts from Horizon Europe evaluators and NCPs during expert Pre-Proposal Check sessions. \nThe event welcomes researchers\, higher education institutions\, startups\, SMEs\, and public authorities preparing Horizon Europe proposals. It is particularly valuable for SSH scholars aiming to join projects beyond Cluster 2 and STEM innovators looking to strengthen the socio-behavioral dimensions of their proposals. \nFor full event details\, agenda\, and free online registration\, please visit the Net4Society B2Match Community Platform.
