DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday 11 June\, the course “How to write an ERC Starting proposal” will be held online. DESCRIPTION:HEDIMED Consortium meeting will take place on April 8th- 9th-11th\, 2025 in Siena. \nThe HEDIMED (Human Exposomic Determinants of Immune Mediated diseases) project aims to identify the environmental causes behind type 1 diabetes\, celiac disease\, allergies and asthma. \nIn HEDIMED altogether 22 academic and industrial partners from 13 different countries join their multidisciplinary and supplementary forces to identify exposomic determinants which are driving the epidemic of immune-mediated diseases. \nProf. Francesco Dotta is the principal investigator for the research unit of the University of Siena.

DESCRIPTION:Il processo di gestione di un progetto collaborativo\, finanziato dal programma quadro europeo HORIZON EUROPE\, parte già dalla fase di ideazione della proposta progettuale\, dato che è nelle fasi\niniziali che si pongono le basi per una positiva gestione di un progetto. Il corso sarà infatti strutturato per fornire elementi utili alla gestione del consorzio e più in generale di tutte le fasi progettuali\, con\nparticolare attenzione ai passaggi chiavi come la Grant Agreement Preparation\, la fase di avvio\, le scadenze e le rendicontazioni tecnico-finanziarie\, anche attraverso il Participant Portal.\nIn particolare\, il corso coprirà argomenti come:\n• GAP\, Consortium agreement e management plan\n• La struttura del progetto e la governance\n• Gestione del consorzio\, delle scadenze intermedie e finali\n\n\nIl corso è organizzato nell’ambito delle iniziative di formazione che APRE – Agenzia per la Promozione della Ricerca Europea – promuove con le Università toscane aderenti al network (Università di Siena\, Università di Pisa\, Università di Firenze\, Scuola Normale Superiore e Scuola Superiore S.Anna) per il 2025.\nIl corso è aperto esclusivamente a ricercatori/trici (inclusi post-doc e PhD)\, al personale docente e tecnico-amministrativo degli enti membri.\n\n\n\nPer partecipare è necessario registrarsi entro e non oltre il 28 marzo tramite l’apposito form da richiedere scrivendo a research.eu@unisi.it . E’ coordinatore dell’unità privacy di APRE.

SUMMARY:RESTART Camp on Soft Skills
DESCRIPTION:The RESTART program organises a camp about cognitive skills\, in particular on Critical Thinking\, Creative Problem Solving\, Orientation to Goals.\n\n\nThe training initiative will be held in Bologna\, from the 18th to the 20th of November\, 2024.\n\nIt is intended for Early Stage Researchers (ESR): graduates\, PhD Students\, post-docs\, junior researchers and anyone willing to strengthen their cognitive skills to succeed in their research career.\nIt is open to ESRs from STEM and non STEM disciplines\, even outside the borders of the RESTART program.\nIn particular\, critical thinking\, creative problem solving and orientation to goals are the focus of the initiative.\n\nAfter a simple test\, the participant will get a written statement useful for credit assignment (18 hours).\n\nThe whole program will consist of highly interactive sessions\, with discussions\, assessments and individual contributions.\n\nParticipation is only allowed in presence.\n\n\nRead more information on Restart webpage.

DESCRIPTION:Ecomondo\, Europe´s reference event for the green and circular economy\, will be back at Rimini Expo Centre from 5th to 8th November 2024. Organised by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG)\, the event\, now at its 27th edition\, is a strategic international hub for exploring the technological solutions and policies needed to achieve a vision of sustainable development on a global scale.\nThe event is an essential opportunity to understand the current Italian\, European and international levels of adoption of the circular economy in the main industrial supply chains in line with the NRRP and European Green Deal projects. \nEcomondo 2024 will host a wide-ranging programme of conferences\, seminars and events that explore the main changes in technology\, regulations and the market in the various strategic sectors (both industrial and urban). These involve the circular economy\, water resources management\, environmental monitoring and regeneration\, and hydrogeological risk and mitigation. \nOn 6 November\, from 2:00 pm\, the Cluster SPRING is organising an international event entitled “Bio-based industry as a boost for sustainable primary production in rural regions: a journey across the Mediterranean basin”.
