SUMMARY:RESTART Camp on Soft Skills
DESCRIPTION:The RESTART program organises a camp about cognitive skills\, in particular on Critical Thinking\, Creative Problem Solving\, Orientation to Goals.\n\n\nThe training initiative will be held in Bologna\, from the 18th to the 20th of November\, 2024.\n\nIt is intended for Early Stage Researchers (ESR): graduates\, PhD Students\, post-docs\, junior researchers and anyone willing to strengthen their cognitive skills to succeed in their research career.\nIt is open to ESRs from STEM and non STEM disciplines\, even outside the borders of the RESTART program.\nIn particular\, critical thinking\, creative problem solving and orientation to goals are the focus of the initiative.\n\nAfter a simple test\, the participant will get a written statement useful for credit assignment (18 hours).\n\nThe whole program will consist of highly interactive sessions\, with discussions\, assessments and individual contributions.\n\nParticipation is only allowed in presence.\n\n\nRead more information on Restart webpage.

SUMMARY:Ecomondo\, Rimini 5-8 November
DESCRIPTION:Ecomondo\, Europe´s reference event for the green and circular economy\, will be back at Rimini Expo Centre from 5th to 8th November 2024. Organised by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG)\, the event\, now at its 27th edition\, is a strategic international hub for exploring the technological solutions and policies needed to achieve a vision of sustainable development on a global scale.\nThe event is an essential opportunity to understand the current Italian\, European and international levels of adoption of the circular economy in the main industrial supply chains in line with the NRRP and European Green Deal projects. \nEcomondo 2024 will host a wide-ranging programme of conferences\, seminars and events that explore the main changes in technology\, regulations and the market in the various strategic sectors (both industrial and urban). These involve the circular economy\, water resources management\, environmental monitoring and regeneration\, and hydrogeological risk and mitigation. \nOn 6 November\, from 2:00 pm\, the Cluster SPRING is organising an international event entitled “Bio-based industry as a boost for sustainable primary production in rural regions: a journey across the Mediterranean basin”.

DESCRIPTION:BRIGHT-NIGHT\, the European Night of Researchers in Tuscany\, returns on Friday 27 September. \nAs always\, the protagonists of the Night will be researchers who will bring experiments and demonstrations to the streets\, with the aim of bringing citizens closer to science and the world of research.  \nThe promoters of the event are the Tuscan universities (Universities of Florence\, Pisa\, Siena\, Stranieri di Siena\, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa\, Scuola Normale Superiore and Scuola IMT Alti Studi Lucca)\, together with a wide network of research bodies – including the Pisa Area National Research Council (CNR)\, the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN)\, the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV)\, the European Gravitational Observatory (EGO)\, INAF Astrophysical Observatory of Arcetri – with the support of the Tuscany Region\, as part of the Giovanisì project.  \nThe BRIGHT-NIGHT project is an associated event of the European Commission’s HORIZON-MSCA-2023-CITIZENS-01 programme.

DESCRIPTION:Borsa della Ricerca is promoting PNRR Live: a series of events held in collaboration with institutions funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan that will take part in the PNRR EXPO Forum next 21-23 October in Catania\, Italy.\nThese are live-streamed presentation workshops lasting an hour\, with additional time allowed for comments and questions from participants connecting from all over Italy.\nThe PNRR Live series is a concrete way of giving continuity to relationships and forming new ones by learning about the projects and objectives of member institutions\, the state of progress\, ways of collaborating and open opportunities.\nThe event on 29 May will be in collaboration with NBFC (National Biodiversity Future Center) at 11 am.\nTo attend the Live online event\, simply write to info@borsadellaricerca.it and request the access link.
