Description
Converting research findings into economic and social benefits.
A 22-member research consortium with partners from several countries is promoting the translation of research between university and industry through cooperation and open innovation in the following sectors: financial services, Industry 4.0 low-carbon technologies and advanced technologies for food production, packaging and distribution. Coming together under the EU-funded OpenInnoTrain project, they will enable the untapped potential of European university researchers to get their research outcomes to the market. Specifically, researchers in Europe and Australia will spend up to a year in Australia and in several EU countries, connecting European and Australian research within a global network of industrial partners and academic institutions. Digital innovation hubs, joint PhDs, industrial PhDs and training initiatives will be used to promote this international cooperation.
