The ‘Young Researchers 2024’ call was published by the MUR, within the framework of implementation of the PNRR – Investment line dedicated to projects presented by young researchers (M4C2 I1.2).

The funding opportunity is aimed at 250 young female researchers of any nationality up to 40 years of age, or up to 45 if they have obtained their PhD within a maximum of 7 years, as of 3 July 2024, date of publication of the call.

The researchers must belong to one of the following categories: Young Researchers 2024 – Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions MSCA or Young Researchers 2024 – Seal of Excellence SoE. In both cases, a preliminary agreement must be signed with the Host Institution, the University of Siena, which will formally be the implementing body and therefore the beneficiary of the contribution.

The type of contract that can be financed is that of a fixed-term researcher for whom it is therefore necessary to provide co-financing. The Departments interested in hosting this type of project will therefore have to decide on the co-financing project.
