Maria Cristina Fossi, Professor of Ecology and Ecotoxicology at the Department of Physical Sciences, Earth and Environment at the University of Siena and scientific director of the Biomarker Laboratory – Plastic Busters, is among the 21 Italian scientists to whom is dedicated the travelling exhibition “STEM – SWIT Women of Italy”, initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

A panel of the exhibition, celebrating Italian scientists who have revolutionized – and continue to revolutionize – the world of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), will be dedicated to Professor Fossi and her significant contribution as a woman to Italian scientific research.
