
NeXst – Next-gen Archaeological Survey Technology, an official spin-off of the University of Siena, has claimed victory at the regional finals of Premio Cambiamenti, held on March 25th at The Social Hub in Florence. With this achievement, the startup secures its place in the national finals, set to take place in Rome on April 23rd.
Founded by Professor Stefano Campana alongside researchers Prospero Cirigliano, Cesare Felici, Alessia Mandorlo, Ken Saito, and Federico Ugolini from the Department of Historical Sciences and Cultural Heritage (DSSBC), NeXst stood out among 22 selected startups in the regional phase. In addition to qualifying for the final stage, the company received the prestigious special mention as a Top Innovation Company.
Now in its 9th edition, Premio Cambiamenti is promoted by CNA Nazionale to discover and support the best Italian enterprises capable of blending tradition and “Made in Italy” with cutting-edge technology and innovation. Out of 1,091 total participants nationwide, NeXst has emerged as a leading example of how academic research can successfully transform into high-impact entrepreneurial excellence.
The spin-off will represent the excellence of Tuscan research in Rome, competing alongside other regional winners like Fluid Wire Robotics, Symbiotica Therapeutics, and Idealide Biowearle.
