The StartUp Breeze initiative returns this year, continuing its mission to support business ideas and startups within the Life Sciences sector. This program is specifically designed to help participants validate, focus, and enhance their value proposition. Promoted by Fondazione Toscana Life Sciences (TLS), StartUp Breeze leverages an extensive network of approximately 30 partners—including investment funds, innovation centers, incubators, and accelerators—to provide selected teams with the expertise and networking opportunities needed to fully exploit their business potential.
Selected finalists will undergo a tailored entrepreneurial journey, featuring thematic seminars and deep-dive sessions led by industry-specific coaches. This path will culminate in November at the Pinwheel Pitching Stage, a final event where proposals are presented to a jury of investors and potential corporate partners. During this stage, the most innovative proposal will be recognized, and various Special Awards offered by the initiative’s partner network will be assigned.
The call is open to business proposals (both startup companies and emerging business ideas) with a TRL between 3 and 5 operating in the following fields:
- Medical Devices
- Digital Health (digital solutions strictly connected to therapy or diagnosis)
- Pharmaceutical/Biotech
- Related supply chains
Proposals will be evaluated based on the team’s experience, the technical and scientific solidity of the solution, market potential, and the quality of the financial plan and pitch.
