New funding opportunities dedicated to the New European Bauhaus (NEB) have been launched under Horizon Europe. These thematic calls aim to bridge sustainability, inclusion, and aesthetics to transform local territories and urban spaces.
Regarding eligibility and budget, proposals must be submitted by a mandatory consortium consisting of at least 3 independent partners from 3 different EU Member States or Associated Countries. The project budget for these initiatives typically ranges from €3.5M to €10M per project, depending on the specific call.

Destination 1: Green transition, social inclusion, local democracy
- HORIZON-NEB-2026-01-PARTICIPATION-02 — Innovative approaches for space design in urban neighbourhoods.
Funding: €5M (2 projects to be funded)
- HORIZON-NEB-2026-01-PARTICIPATION-03 — Research on inhabitants’ experiences for better health and well-being in neighbourhoods.
Funding: €5M (3 projects to be funded)
Destination 2: Circular approaches for the built environment
- HORIZON-NEB-2026-01-REGEN-01 — Sustainable and beautiful solutions for thermal comfort in buildings.
Funding: €4M (3 projects to be funded)
- HORIZON-NEB-2026-01-REGEN-02 — Sustainable maintenance and repair of existing buildings.

- HORIZON-NEB-2026-01-REGEN-03 — Innovative solutions for the sustainable use of vertical space in buildings.

Destination 3: Innovative business models for neighbourhoods
- HORIZON-NEB-2026-01-BUSINESS-02 — Models for attracting private investments in NEB projects in neighbourhoods.
Funding: €3.5M (2 projects to be funded)
- HORIZON-NEB-2026-01-BUSINESS-03 — Approaches for reshaping vacant, obsolete or underutilised spaces in neighbourhoods.
Funding: €4.5M (2 projects to be funded)
Joint Call: NEB + EU Missions
- HORIZON-MISS-2026-04-CIT-NEB-B4P-CCRI-03 — Circular economy in construction, from building to architectural and urban scale. Highly relevant for complex infrastructure projects.
Funding: €10M (2 projects to be funded)
