The SCIANCE project (a Horizon Europe Coordination and Support Action) has launched a Call for Experts to join its specialized thematic working groups. This initiative is responsible for laying the foundations for RAISE (Resource for AI in Science in Europe), a virtual institute conceived to provide a long-term European framework connecting AI technologies, research infrastructures, computing resources, and scientific communities to accelerate scientific discovery across diverse disciplines.
Selected experts will contribute to the development of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) and support the progress of AI-based scientific discovery in Europe.
The initiative will be organized through ten thematic working groups, which will operate from April 2026 to June 2028:

Participation will involve a limited number of activities, including approximately two online meetings per year, one in-person workshop, and occasional asynchronous consultations or document reviews. Members may withdraw at any time, and the consortium may appoint substitutes to ensure the continuity of the groups.
