The Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) has launched its 2026 Call for Proposals, with a total budget of €170.7 million dedicated to research and development.

The initiative aims to accelerate the development of innovative bio-based processes and solutions, facilitating market access for those that have demonstrated maturity. The main goals of the call are to ensure high environmental performance for circular and competitive industrial systems in Europe, fostering the transition toward a sustainable bioeconomy and bridging the gap between research and the industrial application of bio-based products.
