Excellence in Neuroinflammation Young Investigator Grant (YIG) 2027-2029

The Fondazione Francesco della Valle ETS has launched the new Excellence in Neuroinflammation Young Investigator Grant (YIG) 2027-2029. This national funding opportunity supports the development of original, independent, and high-impact research projects in the field of neuroinflammation. The primary goal of the grant is to foster scientific independence and innovation, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in this sector.

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria at the time of submission:

  • 40 years of age or younger.
  • Hold a PhD or an equivalent degree.
  • Serve in a Principal Investigator role for the proposed project.
  • Have a secured salary for the duration of the grant (the grant does not cover the PI’s salary).
  • Maximum of 1 project proposal per applicant.

The grant provides a financial contribution of € 25,000 per year for projects with a total duration of 2 years. This funding is specifically intended to support the implementation of the research, covering project-related expenses such as consumables and reagents, travel and mobility, and dissemination activities, which include open-access publications.
