Founded twenty years ago as an informal network between universities, which became an association in 2007, Netval — Network for the valorization of Research, today brings together 113 members including 66 universities – such as the University of Siena – 14 public research institutions, 19 IRCCS (Scientific Hospitalization and Treatment Institutions) and 14 foundations and other institutions and bodies dealing with innovation. The aim is to strengthen links between research, enterprises and institutions, spreading the culture of technology transfer and helping to transform research results into innovation and economic growth, with a programme of activities and projects: a way of bringing research, with its results and patents, and enterprises or other interested interlocutors together.
Soon, from Wednesday, September 16th to Friday, September 18th, Netval will hold an important meeting and discussion event in Brescia, the Annual Conference, now in its 19th edition and dedicated this year to artificial intelligence and technology transfer: strategies, tools, and new horizons in the valorization of knowledge.
The president Maria Chiara Di Guardo talks about it in the article published by Corriere della Sera: https://www.corriere.it/cultura/26_agosto_26/torna-il-network-della-ricerca-e-indaga-sull-impatto-dell-ai-72af3806-5297-4215-b4be-3948f0c47xlk.shtml
