Description
The project includes the following research actions:
A. Research on usury related to pathological gambling, with the aim to provide a legal and sociological framework of the phenomenon
B. Strengthening a multidisciplinary research network with private and public parties involved in pathological gambling combat
C. Dissemination of research products with the aim of raising awareness on the issue
The research examines gambling disorder in its multiple profiles:
– Individual profiles, through the researches of psychologists and psychiatrists
– Context profiles, through the researches of anthropologists and sociologists
– Legal profiles: gambling regulation; related criminal offences; over-indebtedness and debt discharge procedures; civil regulation of usury
– Support profiles, with reference to prevention and treatment health services”
