The Ministry of University and Research (MUR) informs that the call for fellowships in Japan offered by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) is now open. These fellowships are intended for researchers working in all sectors of the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. Researchers from all countries with diplomatic relations with Japan who have completed their PhD within six years of their application and are affiliated with specific academic institutions are eligible to apply for the JSPS fellowships.

For the 2026-2027 Japanese fiscal year, the MUR will act as the “Nominating Authority” for the assignment of 6 fellowships.
