Promoted by Associazione Centro Scienza in Torino, the 15th National GiovedìScienza Award is part of a leading scientific dissemination initiative now in its 40th edition. Targeted at early-career researchers under 35, the contest provides a platform to showcase scientific work through the lenses of communication and entrepreneurship, rewarding those who contribute to Italy’s development and competitiveness. The competition is open to researchers affiliated with Italian universities or research organizations, as well as Italian researchers working abroad.
Applicants are required to submit a project study to be evaluated by a committee of experts and representatives from the innovation ecosystem. The selection process involves a technical evaluation followed by a final stage where the top ten finalists present their work in a dedicated pitch session. This initiative encourages researchers to translate complex findings into accessible language, rewarding both scientific excellence and communication skills.
Participants can benefit from significant monetary awards, including a €5,000 main prize (which includes a dedicated lecture in the 2026/2027 edition) and three special awards of €3,000 each: Elena Benaduce, GiovedìScienza Futuro, and Impresa Sostenibile e Digitale. The latter two also include a mentorship program for project development.
