EUBCE 2026, the premier international platform for the biomass and bioenergy sectors, will take place from 19 to 22 May 2026 at the World Forum in The Hague, The Netherlands. For over 40 years, EUBCE has been a global benchmark for the evolution of biomass and bioenergy, and this 34th edition continues that tradition by bringing together the scientific community, industry leaders, and policymakers to discuss the latest innovations in the circular economy and the green transition.

The 2026 edition, coordinated by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC), is expected to host approximately 1,500 experts from over 60 countries, featuring a comprehensive program with more than 600 scientific and industrial presentations.

EUBCE represents a strategic opportunity for researchers to stay updated on global trends and strengthen international collaboration networks. The program covers the entire biomass value chain, from fundamental research to industrial applications, focusing on:

• Sustainable resources for decarbonising the economy
• Sustainability, impacts, policies and systems
• Biomass, bio-based products and bioenergy integration
• Biomass conversion for bioenergy
• Biomass conversion to intermediate bioenergy carriers and sustainable biofuels
• Biomass conversion to bio-based materials and chemicals

The event features a dynamic mix of scientific sessions, workshops, networking opportunities, and a dedicated exhibition area. This structure is designed to foster a direct dialogue between research and industry, actively promoting the transfer of innovative technologies to the global market.

In parallel with the scientific track, the industrial program—supported by the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU)—will feature 17 dedicated sessions exploring the development of integrated process chains and policies for scaling bio-based solutions in the market.
