Knowledge Valorisation in Action: from Results to Policy

October 8 @ 9:00 - 16:00

The European Commission’s Research Executive Agency (REA) –  in cooperation with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation – has announced the upcoming policy event “Knowledge Valorisation: From Action and Results to Policy”, scheduled to take place on 8 October 2026, from 9:00 to 16:00. This will be a hybrid event, allowing participants to attend either online or in person in Brussels.

This event represents a key milestone in the EU’s strategy to turn scientific research and excellent results into sustainable solutions that benefit society and the economy. It will bring together researchers, innovators, policymakers, and tech transfer experts to discuss how to optimize the impact of EU-funded projects under Horizon Europe.

The conference will showcase successful examples of knowledge valorisation and address the strategic implementation of the EU Guiding Principles for Knowledge Valorisation. The discussions will focus on key strategies to bridge the gap between academia, industry, and public policy, alongside best practices for intellectual property management and technology transfer. Additionally, participants will explore the role of standardisation and codes of practice in accelerating the market uptake of research results.

Participating in this event offers a valuable opportunity for researchers to understand the future directions of European research policy and to learn how to effectively maximize the exploitation and dissemination of their project results.
