The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) are one of the longest-running funding programs of the European Commission and offer a wide range of training and exchange opportunities for researchers, promoting the growth of human capital of excellence in Europe through research grants to support the international, intersectoral and interdisciplinary mobility of researchers.
These actions are open to all research areas.
In particular, the MSCA Post-doctoral Fellowships allow researchers of any nationalities and with international experience having their research project implemented at a qualified Host Institution.
Projects can last between 12 and 24 months in case of “European” Fellowships and between 24 and 36 months in case of “Global” (where a mandatory return-phase to a member or associated country of the European Union is required).

We are looking for outstanding researchers of any age and nationality who wish to develop innovative, ambitious and feasible research projects at one of our Departments by applying under the European Call Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions – Post-doctoral Fellowships 2026 – Call HORIZON-MSCA-2026-PF published in April 2026 with deadline on September 9th, 2026.

MSCA-PF allows submitting a research proposal in any research field (bottom-up approach), therefore we welcome your ideas and invite you to get in contact with our staff in order to verify the correspondence of your scientific interest with those of our senior researchers and professors.

Please, verify to comply with the MSCA-PF requirements before applying, with particular reference to the mobility rule and the limit of 8 years of research experience from the PhD title.

  • Proposal pre-screening by Italian National Contact Point APRE: APRE Thematic Team does not intervene in the scientific aspects of the project idea. Please send a complete and final version of Part B1 to msca@apre.it (and always in cc research.eu@unisi.it)  by 31/07/2026 at 5 pm (the deadline is to be considered strinctly mandatory).
