HORIZON RESULTS BOOSTER: Portfolio Dissemination & Exploitation Strategy

Horizon Results Booster (HRB) is an initiative of the European Commission which aims to bring a continual stream of innovation to the market and maximize the impact of public funded research within the EU.

Receive expert free of charge support services to boost the exploitation potential of your research results, disseminate effectively, and go to market.

This service is divided into two main streams addressing Dissemination & Exploitation strategies, activities and goals. It supports projects eager to go beyond their Dissemination and Exploitation (D&E) obligations – steering research toward strong societal impact and concretizing the value of Research and Innovation (R&I) activity for societal challenges. To achieve this, HRB offers free consulting services to closed or ongoing research projects funded by FP7, Horizon 2020, or Horizon Europe programs.

Portfolio Dissemination & Exploitation Strategy

• Identifying and creating the portfolio of Research & Innovation project results (module A),
• Creating the portfolio of results; design and execute a portfolio dissemination plan (module B)
• Improving existing exploitation strategy (module C)

Services:
  • Module A:  Identifying and creating the portfolio of R&I project results

This module supports the creation of a portfolio of results that are suitable for joint dissemination. It also includes a comprehensive mapping of the relevant stakeholders/target audience for each particular portfolio.

If you are applying as a single project, after the approval of your individual application, you will receive guidance to identify similar ongoing projects from any other EU, national, and regional funding initiatives to group with. It is useful to get to know who is doing similar/complementary activities to create critical mass.

Applicant(s): a single project or a project group (from which at least one project was funded under FP7 or H2020 or HE), ongoing or closed.

Successful delivery of Module A allows you to access to Module B.

  • Module B: Helping projects from the portfolio to design and execute a portfolio dissemination plan
This module focuses on supporting your project group to design a joint dissemination plan for the portfolio and to carry out the actual dissemination of the portfolio results. The service delivery includes the visual identity for the beneficiary project group and a short video describing the project results.

Applicant(s)
: a PG from which at least one project was funded under FP7 or H2020 or HE, ongoing or closed.This module is available only for projects that already have their dissemination plan and with certain commonalities that allow for joint dissemination. If this is not the case, they need to benefit first from a PDES – Module A.
  • Module C: Assisting projects to improve their existing exploitation strategy
This service will provide guidance and training to improve the existing project strategies of projects towards effective exploitation of key exploitable results.
The exploitation strategy will improve the following aspects:
  • review of the key exploitable results of the project;
  • revise, complement and clarify existing exploitation plans of project results and/or outline exploitation paths of results;
  • techniques to identify all relevant stakeholders in the exploitation value chain;
  • support to perform a risk analysis related to the exploitation of results.

This service is available for single project funded under FP7, H2020 or HE, ongoing or closed with identified key exploitable results.
