At the final of the Start Cup Toscana 2024, Resynth from the University of Siena received the mention for the best project of enterprise with impact on climate change. The proposal in the Clean tech & Energy category involves the reuse of waste from the leather industry in a sustainable and circular chemical process for the production of high value-added chemicals to be reused in the leather industry.

On the podium of this edition of the competition aimed at the best high-tech business initiatives from regional research, three projects focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI): first place for Cernais (Life Sciences – Medtech sector), developed by a leading company in drug discovery, which aims to use AI to develop innovative therapies for rare diseases; second place for MolBook Pro (industrial category), an easy-to-use computer program to create, Managing and sharing molecular databases, which integrates AI; third position for Delos AI (ICT category), a project developing technological solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises in the field of automatic analysis of textual data based on IA models. The three projects are linked to the University of Pisa.
