University Spin-off NeXst S.r.l. wins the Provincial Phase of the “Premio Cambiamenti 2026”

Important recognition for the academic startup specialized in archaeology and cultural heritage. The team now advances to the regional finals of the contest promoted by CNA.

NeXst S.r.l. – Next-Gen Archaeological Survey Technology, a spin-off of the University of Siena, has been selected among the winners of the provincial phase of the “Premio Cambiamenti 2026”. The initiative, promoted by CNA Arezzo as part of a national contest dedicated to innovative new businesses, featured 25 competing startups from the local area.

The provincial final took place on February 27 at the Aula Magna of ISIS Buonarroti Fossombroni in Arezzo. As a local finalist, NeXst now moves on to the regional selections. According to the jury’s remarks, this achievement “testifies to the value and quality of the entrepreneurial project developed.”

Innovation in the Cultural Heritage Sector NeXst operates in the field of archaeological diagnostics through a pioneering approach that integrates aerial, terrestrial, and underwater drones with advanced sensor technologies (LiDAR, magnetometry, GPR, multispectral, and multibeam). This integration allows for surveys to be conducted with greater speed, precision, and reliability than traditional methods, ensuring excellent results even in complex or hard-to-access environments.

Professor Stefano Campana, from the Department of History and Cultural Heritage and President of the spin-off, expressed great satisfaction with the milestone reached, emphasizing the importance of this recognition as the team prepares for the next regional stage of the contest.
