APRE Courses 2026: “Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) in Horizon Europe” webinar

APRE is organizing the webinar “Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) in Horizon Europe” (“Le Scienze Sociali e Umanistiche (SSH) in Horizon Europe”), taking place online on 3 November 2026, from 10:00 to 13:00.
The event is organized in collaboration with the University of Siena, Scuola Normale Superiore, University of Pisa, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, and the University of Florence.
This course offers a comprehensive overview of research topics and funding opportunities within the 2026-2027 Horizon Europe calls for the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH), highlighting the strategic role of multidisciplinary collaborative projects.
Participants will gain deep insights into Cluster 2 “Culture, Creativity, and Inclusive Society”, exploring key areas such as democracy and governance, cultural heritage, creative industries, and socio-economic transformations. Furthermore, the session will address the cross-cutting integration of SSH across other thematic Clusters and EU Missions, emphasizing how humanities and social sciences contribute to tackling societal challenges and evaluating the impacts of technological innovations. The course will also cover the New European Bauhaus initiative for urban regeneration and provide practical guidance on call structures, methodology, and consortium building through the analysis of successfully funded projects.
