A series of 30 webinars dedicated to innovation in the agrifood sector is promoted by METROFOOD-IT, the research infrastructure funded under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), which aims to support research and innovation in this sector.
In which direction is scientific research in the agribusiness sector moving? What technologies are currently being used to improve product quality and the functioning of the supply chain? Furthermore, how can the sector embrace circular economy models?
These and many other topics of interest to the agrifood sector will be explored in depth during the webinar series sponsored by the METROFOOD-IT Consortium and its partners (ENEA, University of Naples Federico II, University of Siena, University of Parma, University of Rome La Sapienza, University of Bari, University of Molise, INRIM), with contributions from METROFOOD-Romania and METROFOOD-Slovenia.
The online events, each lasting an hour, will take place at 10 am or 11 am on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from January 30th to April 18th. They will delve into topics of particular interest to the agribusiness sector. The discussion will be led by professors and researchers from METROFOOD-IT partner institutes, allowing participants to interact in real time by asking specific questions and making specific requests.
Topics will range from an in-depth look at specific analytical techniques used for food quality and safety and proof of origin, to Blockchain and Vertical Farming technologies and food contamination prevention.
The webinars will be broadcast live and recorded for later use.
