The European Commission is hosting the Implementation Dialogue on Research Security, a high-level discussion focusing on the development and deployment of research security processes across the European research and innovation ecosystem. The event will take place on Tuesday 10 November 2026, from 10:00 to 12:00, in person at “The EGG” venue in Brussels.

This Implementation Dialogue brings together key stakeholders to exchange practical experiences and address challenges in applying research security measures, discuss emerging practices, and identify areas requiring further support and coordination at the EU level. The discussion will center on two main themes: progress and challenges in implementing research security protocols, and strengthening EU-level coordination to further integrate research security into R&I activities while safeguarding trusted international partnerships.

Aligned with the European Economic Security Strategy (2023) and the Council Recommendation on enhancing research security (May 2024), this session aims to review the progress made by Member States and institutions, ensuring Europe protects its resilience and economic security while maintaining open global cooperation.
