Workshop CARES: Climate-Aware Robotics for Energy Systems
On February 16th, starting from 9am, the workshop “CARES: Climate-Aware Robotics for Energy Systems” will be held, dedicated to describing the project and presenting the partial results obtained to date by all the partners involved: Nuovo Pignone Tecnologie, i-EM, Bluebiloba and the Department of Information Engineering and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Siena.
The CARES project, whose scientific director, for the University of Siena, is Professor Stefano Melacci, aims to develop a comprehensive solution for monitoring and inspecting energy infrastructure, with the ultimate goal of contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. It also includes the development of an innovative system for inspecting and monitoring energy infrastructure, capable of detecting and preventing potential problems reduce the risk of accidents and quantify greenhouse gas emissions, such as methane.
